El accidente del Schwebebahn de Wuppertal ocurrió el 12 de abril de 1999 en la ruta del schwebebahn cerca de la estación Schwebebahn Robert-Daum-Platz. En el descarrilamiento del vagón 4 del tipo GTW 72, cinco personas perdieron la vida y 47 resultaron gravemente heridas. Es el accidente más grave en la historia del Schwebebahn de Wuppertal y hasta ahora el único con consecuencias mortales.
