La reserva natural Üntrop, con un tamaño de 10,9 ha, se encuentra al sureste de Lenne en el área urbana de Schmallenberg. El área fue designada como reserva natural en 2008 con el plan paisajístico Schmallenberg Sudeste por el distrito de Hochsauerland.
La reserva natural abarca la rica en estructura parte superior del valle de la Uentrop con los afluentes Erfmicke y Jaismecke. La Uentrop es un arroyo de media montaña cercano a la naturaleza y un afluente por la izquierda de la Lenne. En la sección sur de la reserva natural, forma meandros parcialmente pronunciados. El espacio vallado se utiliza como pradera. En las áreas periféricas se incluyen algunas áreas forestales en la reserva natural. En el área se pueden encontrar especies de animales y plantas raras.
