El Jardín de Infantes Evangélico de Eberswalde fue fundado en 1832 como el segundo jardín de infantes en Brandeburgo y hoy es el jardín de infantes en funcionamiento más antiguo en el estado de Brandeburgo. El patrocinador del jardín de infantes es la Congregación de la Iglesia de la Ciudad Evangélica de Eberswalde, ubicado en Pfeilstraße 27 en el centro de la ciudad de Eberswalde.
En febrero de 1832, el predicador y director de la entonces escuela municipal, Ernst Daniel Martin Kichner, estableció la primera escuela infantil en la Marca de Brandeburgo en Hinterstraße, ahora Kirchstraße, en Neustadt Eberswalde.
