La aldea de calles ampliada se encuentra al norte del embalse de Quitzdorf en el Schwarzer Schöps, aproximadamente a siete kilómetros al oeste de la antigua ciudad del distrito de Niesky. Al noroeste del lugar se encuentra la reserva de biosfera de Oberlausitzer Heide- und Teichlandschaft, que se extiende casi hasta Groß Särchen.
Las aldeas circundantes son Petershain al norte, el pueblo de See al noreste y la ciudad de Niesky al este, Jänkendorf al sureste y Diehsa al sur en la otra orilla del embalse, Kollm y Steinölsa al suroeste, así como Horscha al noroeste.
