El antiguo convento de capuchinos de Riedlingen se utiliza hoy como biblioteca municipal y archivo de la ciudad. La iglesia conventual de San Sebastián es considerada una de las primeras iglesias barrocas de Alta Suabia.
El convento fue construido entre 1645 y 1655. En octubre de 1655, se mudaron los primeros padres capuchinos. Asumieron principalmente tareas de atención pastoral en Riedlingen y sus alrededores. La base económica del convento estaba formada por donaciones y una panadería de hostias para las comunidades y conventos circundantes.
