Kirnbach es un distrito de Wolfach en el distrito de Ortenau en Baden-Württemberg.
Kirnbach es una aldea esparcida con muchas granjas a lo largo del pequeño río Kirnbach.
El nombre Kirnbach viene de la palabra media alta alemana Kürn. Se mencionó por primera vez el lugar en el año 1275 como Kurnbach o Kurenbach.
Kirnbach pertenecía al dominio de los señores de Hornberg.
El lugar pasó por matrimonio al duque Reinhold de Urslingen y tras su muerte a la línea de los Geroldsecker de Sulz. A través de esto, Kirnbach con todo el distrito de Hornberg pasó al reino de Württemberg.
