El Orke es un afluente de aproximadamente 38,2 km de longitud, ubicado en el lado occidental y orográficamente a la izquierda del Eder, en el distrito de Hochsauerlandkreis en Renania del Norte-Westfalia y en el distrito de Waldeck-Frankenberg en Hesse. Con un caudal medio de alrededor de 4 m³/s, es el mayor afluente izquierdo del Eder. Casi todo el recorrido del Orke se encuentra en áreas protegidas, como el área natural del sistema del valle de Orke en Winterberg, que también ha sido designada como un área de interés comunitario (Zonas FFH).
