La estación de Basdorf es una parada del Heidekrautbahn. Se encuentra en el kilómetro 17,4 de la línea original de Berlín-Wilhelmsruh y es una estación de separación de las dos ramas del Heidekrautbahn hacia Groß Schönebeck y Liebenwalde. La estación adquirió rápidamente una gran importancia para la operación ferroviaria del Heidekrautbahn después de la puesta en marcha de la línea.
La estación de Basdorf se construyó en 1901 como una solución provisional; en 1905, sus edificios estaban terminados y se puso en funcionamiento oficialmente. Rápidamente se convirtió en el centro de operaciones del ferrocarril Niederbarnimer, que también es conocido como Heidekrautbahn por uno de sus extremos en la Schorfheide. Recibió un taller ferroviario y había instalaciones de suministro para las locomotoras de vapor. En la estación, las ramas se separan hacia Liebenwalde y Groß Schönebeck.
