La reserva natural de Romberg se encuentra en el área del distrito de Main-Spessart, en la región de Baja Franconia, al sur de Sendelbach, un barrio de Lohr am Main.
Al oeste del área fluye el Meno, y al noreste se encuentra la carretera St 2437. En el área se eleva el Romberg, que tiene una altura de 230 metros y se ha formado como una montaña de circunvalación. En sus praderas secas de arena hay, entre otras cosas, una rica población de escarabajos toro. En los charcos de agua temporales en el valle del Meno, al pie del Romberg, viven cangrejos de primavera.
