El Aschaff es un afluente derecho y norte del Meno, que tiene aproximadamente 17 km de longitud, junto con el arroyo Kleinaschaff forma un total de unos 21 kilómetros, ubicado en Mainaschaff, en el distrito de Aschaffenburg, en la Baja Franconia. Fluye en dirección oeste a través del Spessart bávaro.
El nombre original ascafa proviene de la palabra del alto alemán antiguo asc que significa fresno y de la palabra indoeuropea Ap, que significa agua. Como explicación se deduce que es "un curso de agua compuesto por fresnos". El río dio su nombre a los municipios de Waldaschaff y Mainaschaff, así como a la ciudad de Aschaffenburg, por donde fluye entre los barrios Damm y Strietwald. El río Elsava, que fluye cerca, tiene el mismo origen en el nombre.
