La zona de conservación de Lippeaue desde Stockum hasta Werne se encuentra en el área de las ciudades de Bergkamen y Werne en el distrito de Unna, en Renania del Norte-Westfalia.
La zona, que tiene aproximadamente 188 ha, fue declarada área protegida en 2007 bajo el número clave UN-056. Se extiende al sureste y este de la ciudad central de Werne y al sur de Stockum, un barrio de Werne, a lo largo del Lippe. No muy al sur fluye el canal Datteln-Hamm, un poco más al sur se encuentra la carretera estatal L 736.
