El molino del pueblo era uno de los tres molinos de la zona en Stetten. De ellos, además del molino del pueblo, solo queda el molino del lago. El molino del pueblo fue mencionado por primera vez en 1494. Anteriormente se le conocía como el molino superior.
Hasta 1829, el molino pertenecía a la autoridad local, hasta que pasó a ser de propiedad privada. En 1959, la rueda del molino fue reemplazada por una turbina. 15 años después, la operación del molino se detuvo debido al relleno del canal del molino. Hasta 1998, el molino todavía se utilizaba para el comercio de harina. La tecnología del molino se ha conservado. Actualmente, el molino está en proceso de renovación.
