La localidad se encontraba entre Stetten y Strümpfelbach. Hoy en día hay viñedos allí. Anteriormente, estaba el bosque de Lindhalden, que se taló alrededor de 1717.
La localidad fue mencionada por primera vez en documentos en 1360. Según un libro de cuentas de 1494, la localidad era bastante amplia. Por la época de la guerra de los treinta años, el lugar constaba de unas 20 granjas. Muchos se trasladaron entonces al pueblo de Stetten en busca de refugio en el castillo. También las epidemias de peste en Suabia en 1596, 1607 y 1626 contribuyeron a ello.
