El estrés cotidiano y la agitación de la gran ciudad están a años luz de aquí, ya que el Pfälzer Bergland y la franja de tierra alrededor del Königsberg (568,6 m) son refugios para aquellos que buscan tranquilidad y relajación. Fuera de los dos pueblos en esta ruta, es muy probable que no se encuentre ningún alma viva, aparte de ciervos y jabalíes. En el Selberg (545.1 m) hay una torre de observación desde donde se disfruta de una amplia panorámica de la ciudad de Kaiserslautern y del Pfälzer Wald.
