Onil es un municipio de la Comunidad Valenciana, España. Está situado en el norte de la provincia de Alicante, en la comarca de la Hoya de Alcoy , a los pies de la Sierra de Onil, y forma parte de la subcomarca histórica y natural de la Hoya de Castalla .[1] El municipio está adscrito al partido judicial de Ibi y es conocido como la cuna de las muñecas. Cuenta en la actualidad con 7493 habitantes .
