Ibi es un municipio del interior de la provincia de Alicante, en la Comunidad Valenciana, España. Situada en la comarca de la Hoya de Alcoy, es la población más grande de la subcomarca geográfica de la Hoya de Castalla. Cuenta con 23 652 habitantes[1] .
La villa de Ibi se encuentra a 816 metros de altitud sobre el nivel del mar lo que la convierte en uno de los municipios más altos de toda la provincia. Ibi está situado en el extremo noroeste de los valles que configuran la Hoya de Castalla y al nordeste de la cuenca del río Monnegre, conocido también como Río Verde o de Castalla, concretamente al pie de las sierras Teixereta y de Biscoi.
