La Sotonera [3][4] es un municipio español de la provincia de Huesca, en la comunidad autónoma de Aragón. El término municipal, cuya cabecera se sitúa en Bolea, cuenta con una población de 903 habitantes . Recibe el nombre por el río Sotón que lo cruza.
La capital municipal, Bolea, se encuentra a unos 20 km al noroeste de la ciudad de Huesca por la carretera A-132 con desvío en Esquedas hacia la A-1206.
