Terrenos de Valderrible
El camino abandona el río Mardancho y sube por una pista entre quejigos al monte Casallo; desciende al este por el quejigal del monte del Castillo y prosigue atravesando varias de las pequeñas pero interesantes poblaciones que componen el Ayuntamiento de Valderredible, como Sobrepenilla, que muestra la iglesia románica de San Martín, y Rebollar de Ebro, donde merece la pena desviarse para visitar la ermita de Santa María. Tras cruzar el Ebro por el puente de Rocamundo, se llega finalmente a Polientes, capital de Valderredible, donde destacan sus muestras de arquitectura civil y su museo etnográfico, que permite conocer la historia y tradiciones de la zona.
