Por los campos de Gómara, testigos impasibles de la historia.
El antiguo ferrocarril que pretendía unir Santander con los puertos del Mediterráneo de Sagunto y Valencia se adentraba en los campos de Gómara, un espacio salpicado de pequeños humedales que dotan a este entorno de una gran biodiversidad. Tierras que vieron crecer a numerosos personajes ilustres, como el medallista olímpico Abel Antón. El viajero, protegido por las sierras de Aleza y del Costanazo, alcanza Ciria a los pies de la sierra de la Bigornia, terminando de recorrer esta espectacular provincia.
