Girona: "Hincapie Loop". Baix Empordà & Gavarres: Els Angels, Monells, & Santa Pellaia

A lo largo de los años, esta ruta clásica de la montaña de Les Gavarres se conoce como la "Hincapie Loop", en honor a George Hincapie, uno de los muchos ciclistas profesionales que durante una temporada vivieron en Girona. Salimos del puente de piedra de Girona y nos empezamos por la escalada más famosa de Girona, Els Àngels, seguida de un rápido descenso, hasta el pueblo medieval de Monells. Continuamos por un terreno ondulado hasta la subida de Santa Pellaia, popular entre los ciclistas profesionales debido a su gradiente suave y constante. Abundan las vistas, sobre el espacio natural de Les Gavarres, en ambas subidas. El descenso de Santa Pellaia a Cassà de la Selva es rápido pero divertido. Volvamos a Girona por el sur.
