Partiendo del poblado y mina de Arnao, pionera en Asturias y España en la extracción vertical de carbón, vamos recorriendo la costa septentrional asturiana. Pasando por Salinas, lugar de veraneo y residencia de los cuadros y mandos de Arnao, visitamos las historicas minas de hierro de Llumeres para terminar en el inicio de la Via Verde del Tranqueru. Ubicado en la antigua colonia veraniga para "productores" de Perlora, esta ruta se levanto sobre el trazado del antiguo ferrocarril minero que recorria esta costa.
