La abadía de San Medardo en Soissons fue una abadía benedictina, que en algún momento fue la más importante de Francia.
La abadía fue fundada en 557 por Clotario I en su finca de Crouy, cerca de la antigua villa de Syagrius, justo fuera de los límites de la ciudad de Soissons en Picardía. El rey franco quería albergar en ella los restos de San Medardo; la leyenda dice que durante el cortejo fúnebre el ataúd se detuvo en Crouy y que fue imposible hacer que el cortejo se moviera de nuevo hasta que el rey donó toda la finca de Crouy para la fundación de la abadía.
