Buhl es una comuna francesa con 3354 habitantes en el departamento de Alto Rin en la región de Gran Este. Es miembro de la asociación de comunas Región de Guebwiller.
Buhl se encuentra a orillas del río Lauch en el Parque Natural Regional de los Balones de Vosges. La carretera departamental D 430 atraviesa la comarca llamada Florival, que se extiende hacia el sureste hasta Guebwiller. Las aldeas vecinas de Buhl son Murbach al suroeste, la aldea de Hugstein con su castillo en ruinas al sureste y Schweighouse al norte. Por ambos lados, el área está fuertemente boscosa, en el este por un brazo del Bosque comunal de Orschwihr.
