Giramos a la izquierda en la carretera que viene de Bédoin. Después de doscientos metros llegamos a la carretera principal. A la izquierda podemos comprar vino más tarde, pero ahora es mejor no hacerlo. Porque todavía tenemos que escalar un poco más.
La subida a Malaucène no es muy agradable por la carretera principal D938. Es una carretera muy transitada que conecta Carpentras con Vaison la Romaine. Pasan muchos camiones. Así que hay que prestar atención.
La pendiente en sí no es tan mala. Pasada la cima, se desciende hasta Malaucène.
