El castillo de Castelnaud es un castillo medieval que se encuentra a unos 10 kilómetros de Sarlat, en Castelnaud-la-Chapelle. La mención más antigua del castillo data del siglo XIII. Desempeñó un papel en la cruzada contra los cátaros y en la Guerra de los Cien Años con Inglaterra. Después de la Edad Media, el castillo fue siendo abandonado poco a poco y, a partir de la Revolución Francesa, se convirtió en una ruina. El castillo cuenta con un museo en el que se exhiben muchos aspectos de la guerra medieval, como auténticas catapultas, espadas y armaduras.
