Custodiado por "Big Ben" (el reloj más famoso del mundo), el antiguo Palacio Real de Westminster alberga tanto la Cámara de los Lores como la Cámara de los Comunes, y lo ha hecho desde el siglo XI. Obtener acceso a las cámaras de debate requiere una larga espera y mucha burocracia que el "Visitante del Día 1" tendrá que omitir, pero al menos puedes admirar la enorme masa arquitectónica desde el exterior antes de continuar tu camino.
Si sientes que te has perdido algo, entra en la Jewel Tower al otro lado de la calle, uno de los únicos dos edificios sobrevivientes del Palacio de Westminster medieval. Aquí puedes ver una exposición sobre la historia del Parlamento e incluso utilizar un ordenador con pantalla táctil que te lleva en un recorrido virtual por ambas Cámaras del Parlamento.
