Edwinstowe es una aldea en el corazón del bosque de Sherwood, al norte de Nottinghamshire, Inglaterra.
Su nombre significa lugar de descanso de Edwin porque el cuerpo del rey y santo Edwin de Northumbria fue escondido en la iglesia después de ser asesinado en la batalla de Hatfield Chase en el otoño de 633. Las referencias a Edwinstowe se pueden encontrar en el Domesday Book.
