Kinidaros se encuentra en la unidad litológica de migmatitas (parte roja en el mapa). La migmatita es el núcleo de la cúpula de Naxos.
La migmatita tiene estas estructuras típicas en forma de serpiente. La migmatita es una roca que es una mezcla de roca metamórfica y roca ígnea. Se crea cuando una roca metamórfica como el gneis se funde parcialmente, y luego ese magma se recristaliza en una roca ígnea, creando una mezcla de la parte metamórfica no fundida con la parte ígnea recristalizada. Las migmatitas se forman en condiciones extremas de temperatura donde ocurre la fusión parcial en rocas preexistentes. Comúnmente, las migmatitas se encuentran dentro de rocas extremadamente deformadas que representan la base de cadenas montañosas erosionadas. El material de color claro tiene la apariencia de haber sido movilizado o fundido.
