El paso de Brenner (en alemán: Brennerpass, en italiano: Passo del Brennero) separa Austria de Italia. A 1,372 m sobre el nivel del mar, es el paso más bajo y concurrido entre el norte y el sur de los Alpes y el único que atraviesa una vía férrea al aire libre. También es cruzado por la carretera europea 45 utilizando la autopista de peaje A13, inaugurada el 17 de noviembre de 1963 en Austria y la autopista A22 en Italia.
La construcción de la autopista comenzó en 1957 y en esta ocasión se construyó el Europabrücke, que hasta 1974 fue el puente más alto de Europa con 190 m de altura.
