El Palazzo Montecitorio es un edificio histórico de Roma situado entre la Piazza del Parlamento y la Piazza di Monte Citorio, que alberga la sede de la Cámara de Diputados de la República Italiana.
La historia del palacio empieza en 1653, cuando Inocencio X encargó a Gian Lorenzo Bernini la construcción de una residencia para la familia Ludovisi.[1] Se habla todavía de la modesta colina sobre la que se construyó el palacio: hay quien considera que en época romana se celebraban aquí las asambleas electorales y hay quien piensa que el nombre procede del hecho de que aquí se descargaban los escombros de la remodelación del vecino Campo Marzio .
