San Vito lo Capo es mejor conocido por su playa y roca como Calpe/Gibraltar, "Monte Monaco".
Esta montaña de 528 m de altura es una popular zona de senderismo, cerca de la reserva Zingaro.
En la parte superior de la cresta hay una Cruz de Hierro . Esta gran cruz fue colocada por un devoto creyente justo en el triángulo más alto de la cumbre y es visible desde lejos.
Puedes bajar al otro lado de la montaña y llegar al encantador lago del Lago di Venere .
