Ruta de senderismo local - E1 La ruta conecta la ciudad más antigua de Luxemburgo con dos de los hitos geológicos más impresionantes de la región: la garganta de Wollefsschlucht en Echternach y Huel Lee en Berdorf.
La ruta tiene un recorrido pintoresco a través de bosques y rocas en el área entre Echternach y Berdorf. Los puntos destacados de la caminata son la Wollefsschlucht, Huel Lee, el anfiteatro y el valle de Aesbach.
La Wollefsschlucht es una grieta empinada y resbaladiza por la que serpentea el camino.
Desde la Edad Media hasta el siglo XIX, se extraían piedras de molino para los molinos de la región en las cuevas de Hohllay y Breechkaul (hoy en día el anfiteatro). Las huellas siguen siendo reconocibles hoy en día como patrones distintivos en la roca.
La caminata es bastante exigente (subida de Echternach a la meseta de Berdorf) y dura aproximadamente 4 horas. Se recomiendan encarecidamente zapatos resistentes. Sin embargo, también se pueden recorrer secciones (por ejemplo, solo Echternach - Berdorf o viceversa). Hay conexiones regulares de autobús entre Berdorf y Echternach.
