Este es el primer lugar en el Valle de México donde Hernán Cortés escucha misa, acompañado por su traductor y amante, La Malinche. El edificio actual fue completado a principios del siglo XVII en el lugar de la capilla original. Su fachada es de estilo barroco con elementos moriscos. Sobre la entrada se pueden distinguir un sol y una luna, delicadamente tallados en piedra. El altar dorado es de estilo churrigueresco y contiene la imagen de la Inmaculada Concepción.
Aunque en mal estado, este lugar romántico sigue siendo popular para bodas.
