Kerk-Avezaath es una aldea en el municipio de Buren, ubicada en la Betuwe en la provincia neerlandesa de Gelderland. Kerk-Avezaath se encuentra al norte de la A15, cerca de Tiel. El 1 de enero de 2021, Kerk-Avezaath tenía 1.375 habitantes. Kerk-Avezaath se menciona por primera vez en una copia del siglo XI de un documento de 850. En ese documento se habla de Auansati. En 1107 se escribe como Auesaze. Para distinguir las dos aldeas, se añadieron en el habla popular Kerk- y Kapel-, pero en los escritos esto no siempre se hizo; como resultado, a veces es difícil determinar cuál de los dos núcleos se menciona en la historia.
