El Castillo de Opwetten es una antigua casa noble que se encontraba en la aldea de Opwetten en Nuenen.
Antiguamente, Nuenen era un pueblo ducal y, como tal, finalmente pasó directamente bajo el Rey Felipe II de España. Este vendió en 1558 tres señoríos al joven Rutger van Berckel. Estos eran los señoríos de Nuenen y Gerwen, Nederwetten y Tongelre.
