El Kemmlitzbach, también conocido como Kemmlitz o popularmente como Kaamlts, es un arroyo de siete kilómetros de largo que atraviesa las aldeas de Burkersdorf, Schlegel y Hirschfelde. Nace en la ladera oeste del Buchberg en el Oberwald, pasa más tarde por varios estanques en Schlegel y se une en el valle de Kemmlitz al agua de Dittelsdorf, que a su vez se abastece del arroyo Buchberg y del arroyo Ziegelscheunenbach. Aproximadamente un kilómetro más adelante, el Kemmlitzbach desemboca debajo de la antigua fábrica de hilado de lino en Rosenthal en el Neisse de Lusacia. Dado que este arroyo sirve principalmente para el drenaje de tierras agrícolas, su nivel de agua experimenta fluctuaciones considerables. Esto ha provocado en el pasado a menudo inundaciones y desbordamientos.
