El rectorado de la Universidad de Minho está situado en la plaza Largo Do Paço.
El antiguo Palacio Arzobispal acoge el culto. Fue construido en el siglo XIV por orden del arzobispo D. Fernando Guerra y fue reformado en los siglos XVI y XVIII. Destacan el artesonado de la sala de lectura y la fuente de los Castelos en el patio.
En este espacio funciona la Biblioteca Pública. La planta es en forma de cruz y tiene cubierta a dos aguas.
