La iglesia parroquial de la parroquia, llamada San Cristóbal, fue construida para sustituir a la antigua iglesia del monasterio benedictino fundado por el obispo Hermógio, posiblemente en el siglo IX.
La iglesia presenta una arquitectura sencilla pero armoniosa con influencias barrocas. En el patio delantero se alza un crucifijo de granito, el Cruzeiro Parroquial , que, junto con la iglesia, constituye un importante monumento religioso de la región.
