Joplin es una ciudad ubicada entre los condados de Jasper, al norte y Newton, al sur. En el estado estadounidense de Misuri. En el Censo de 2010 tenía una población de 50150 habitantes y una densidad poblacional de 542.67 personas por km².[2]
Joplin dispone de una superficie total de 92.41 km², de la cual 92.1 km² corresponden a tierra firme y 0.32 km² es agua.[3]
