D'abord, vers 1800, un épanouissement musical nous a apporté Beethoven, Haydn, Schubert, et le wunderkind Mozart. Puis, un siècle plus tard, une explosion de génie beaucoup plus large a touché tous les domaines imaginables - science, psychologie, art, littérature, architecture, philosophie, et encore une fois, musique. Freud, avec ses intérêts éclectiques et son divan confessional, a incarné ce deuxième âge d'or viennois. Mozart, avec son focus laser et sa sycophanterie discrète, le premier."
