La Sint Leonarduskerk à Zoutleeuw (13ème - 16ème siècle) a été construite pour remplacer une chapelle romane construite ici en 1125 par des bénédictins de Vlierbeek. La plus grande partie est construite dans le style gothique, les parties les plus anciennes sont romanes (fenêtre dans la façade ouest). Les deux tours sont reliées par une galerie sur la nef centrale.
L’élégante tour de croisement contient un glockenspiel avec 24 cloches. Cette église avec ses tours est inscrite au patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO depuis 1999.
L’église échappe à l’iconoclasme. Elle a également survécu à la Révolution française pratiquement indemne parce que trois chanoines ont prêté serment d’allégeance au régime français. On l’appelle aussi le reliquaire du Brabant.
