Nessonvaux accueillait autrefois la fierté de l’industrie automobile belge : Imperia. L’usine était au départ installée rue de Fragnée à Liège (on peut encore y voir des traces de son passage) avant que l'atelier ne soit déplacé ici à Nessonvaux en 1907. On peut encore y trouver une friterie faisant référence à cette usine, maintenant devenue un bâtiment abandonné.
