Juste au sud de Meerhout, vous traversez un kilomètre dans une zone un peu habitée. Le reste de la promenade est très "habitat".
À partir du point de nœud 88, vous traversez la zone de dunes de terre de la Belse Heide. Ces dunes paraboliques datent de la fin de la période glaciaire (il y a environ 12000 ans), lorsque les Kempen étaient encore une grande surface de sable non couverte.
