Les chutes Takakkaw dans le parc national Yoho est spectaculaire et vaut vraiment le détour. Le cascade est déjà visible sur la route de la vallée Yoho (pas toujours ouverte!) et surtout «l'eau sautant" d'une plate-forme naturelle est impressionnant. Hauteur totale: 384 mètres. La plus longue chute libre de l'eau: 254 mètres. (Figures wikipedia 2012.) Takakkaw est le numéro deux de l'Ouest de Canadien en termes de hauteur.
Les chutes Takakkaw apparaissent dans le film "Last of the dogmen" (1995, écrit et réalisé par Tab Murphy).
