Billerbeck est un lieu de pèlerinage bien connu dans toute l’Allemagne. En l’an 809, Ludger mourut à Billerbeck. De Billerbeck, il existe de nombreuses pistes cyclables à travers le Baumberge. Dans la ville, il y a encore quelques vieilles maisons pittoresques, notamment dans la Münsterstraße.
Au sud-est de Billerbeck se trouve la source de la rivière Berkel.
