Grimma est une ville de Saxe , située dans l'arrondissement de Leipzig, dans le district de Leipzig. Elle est située sur la rive gauche de la Mulde, 25 km au sud-est de Leipzig et fut fondée vers 1170.
Grimma comporte beaucoup de bâtiments historiques, parmi lesquels une mairie datant de 1442, une école célèbre a été érigée sur le site d'un ancien monastère augustin en 1550), ainsi qu'une école de brassage.
