Le Saarburg est la ruine d'un château perché sur un promontoire méridional de la colline du château culminant à 206,5 m au-dessus du niveau de la mer, au-dessus de la ville de Saarburg dans le district de Trier-Saarburg en Rhénanie-Palatinat. Il fait partie des plus anciens châteaux perchés de l'ouest de l'Allemagne.
Le château, construit probablement au 10e siècle, est mentionné pour la première fois dans un document en 964. Cette année-là, il a été donné en fief au comte Siegfried de Luxembourg par l'archevêché de Trêves. Après la mort du fils de Siegfried, Adelbero, en 1046, le château est revenu à l'archevêché de Trêves.
