Osten est une commune allemande de Basse-Saxe. La commune fait partie de la samtgemeinde Hemmoor dans le district de Cuxhaven. Osten, située sur la rivière Oste, compte 1 774 habitants.
Le village est mentionné pour la première fois dans une charte de 1220, qui montre qu’il fut alors donné en fief par l’évêque de Brême. L’église du village, dédiée à Saint-Pierre, a été construite en 1746 pour remplacer une église plus ancienne. Près du village, il y a un pont suspendu de 1909 sur l’Oste, l’une des rares installations de ce type qui sont encore utilisées.
