Garath est un quartier de Düsseldorf situé dans le sud de la zone urbaine, qui fait partie de l'arrondissement 10, d'une superficie de 3,27 kilomètres carrés et qui comptait environ 19 050 habitants à la fin décembre 2016. Entre 1956 et 1957, l'urbaniste Friedrich Tamms a conçu le nouveau quartier de Düsseldorf. Le grand complexe résidentiel « Wohnstadt Garath » – avec 8 000 logements pour plus de 30 000 habitants, le plus grand projet de construction continu à Düsseldorf à ce jour – a été construit de 1961 à 1972. Le quartier est nommé d'après le château de Garath, situé à son bord sud-est.
