Wolgast est une petite ville allemande située dans l'arrondissement de Poméranie-Occidentale-Greifswald du Land de Mecklembourg-Poméranie occidentale, porte d'entrée nord de l'île d'Usedom.
La plus grande partie de Wolgast est située sur la rive occidentale du Peenestrom, un détroit de la mer Baltique qui sépare l'île d'Usedom du continent. Le quartier Mahlzow est situé sur la rive orientale du détroit, sur l'île.
